About Ryan:

Ryan was born and raised in Wethersfield, a 2014 graduate of Wethersfield High School. He loved his community and was very proud of his roots. As a child, he was very busy and quite precocious. Always looking for someone to play ball with him. He became very passionate about baseball at a young age and exceled from the beginning. Making local All-Stars during Little League, AAU travel with the Capitals, and an All-State Selection from Wethersfield High.

Ryan wanted to play Division 1 college baseball and was determined to do so. HIs hard work and drive paid off as he was recruited by Central Connecticut State University. Excited and nervous he ventured off to college the fall of 2014. While his freshman year was full of challenges, he seized every opportunity presented. Ryan loved people and always wanted the best for them. He held the people he loved to his high standards of working hard and being kind, no excuses!

During his junior year of college, the CCSU Blue Devils were the Northeast Conference Champions resulting in an automatic berth to the NCAA Fort Worth Regional. Ryan’s ultimate goal was to play professional baseball. His performance at the NCAA regionals put him on the Seattle Mariners draft board. He was a late round pick during the 2017 MLB draft. Ryan was not deterred by his late round draft pick. He worked hard and he progressively moved up through the minor league systems of the Seattle Mariners and then the Minnesota Twins.

During his short career there he made the playoffs every season. He was selected to play in the Midwest All Star game representing the Clinton Lumber Kings. He hit a go ahead three run home run to ensure that the Fort Myers Miracle the title of Florida State League Champions. Ultimately his career ended at the Double A level with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos. Following the minor league season, he was signed by the Auckland Tuatara of the Australian Baseball League. Sadly Ryan passed before the season started.
